This was written in the machine period in NYC where we always did everything in one shot.
It was recorded at the Zone of FX studio which was based in Jersey City at the time. Probably the most well known reade truth record, artistically it possesses clearly a very positive flow, it's based on hope and dreams and the possibility of good things. so, this version is from the live performance in 2019 at Fold Club, in London for Cartulis label, with some post edits I just completed this year. I didn't have any of the original 1998 files, so I recreated the whole thing from scratch for the performance. The inspiration comes from two places: the ravey melody is completely sampled from “Bladerunner” which is one of my fave movies of all time and I often work with it as a sample source for found sound. The power of Ideas vocal is from the original “Aeon Flux” cartoon that was from MTV’s Liquid Television show around 1991-1992.
